Biography
Carlos is graduate of Michigan State University College of Law, from where he graduated in the top 18% of his class and received his law degree Magna Cum Laude in 2007. Prior to attending law school, Carlos received his Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. Carlos was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and is trilingual; he is fluent in Spanish and conversational Portuguese.
Carlos' practice includes multiple areas of civil litigation, including business and commercial litigation, defamation litigation, tort litigation and some construction litigation. Carlos also has over 11 years of litigation experience in the area of family law and divorce and child custody litigation.
Prior to joining Block & Scarpa, Carlos had his own practice in Miami, Florida at the Law Offices of Carlos M. Cabral, where he specialized in Divorce and business litigation.
Carlos in an avid outdoorsman and when he isn't practicing law, he is usually out in the woods hunting in season or hiking. Carlos also enjoys archery and recreational target shooting, including IDPA and competitive target pistol shooting.
