Biography

Roger graduated from the University of Notre Dame, B.A., 1974, M.B.A., 1976, and Nova University School of Law, J.D., 1979. He was admitted to The Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida in 1979.

He became a partner in the law firm of Sullivan, Stone, Sullivan, LaJoie & Thacker shortly after moving to Vero Beach in 1981. He was Of Counsel with Robin A. Lloyd, Sr. & Associates, P.A., remaining as such until 2009 when he established the law firm of Roger W. LaJoie, P.A.

Roger's practice now primarily focuses on matters relating to business, corporate, real estate, and probate law, including estate planning as well as assisting in the administration of probate estates. He is an attorney title agent for First American Title Insurance Company.

A current member and past President of the Indian River County Bar Association, he is a past Chairman of The Florida Bar Grievance Committee, 19th Circuit. Having a deep commitment to serving the legal needs of the community, he was Pro Bono Attorney of the Year 2000 for the 19th Judicial Circuit.

A Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, he is a Past Grand Knight of the Holy Cross Council Knights of Columbus. Active in his church, Roger serves as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector at Holy Cross Catholic Church. He has served on the Board of Directors, and is a past President of, Sun-Up of Indian River, Inc., and is a past Board member of Indian River County Habitat for Humanity. He still enjoys volunteering with Habitat for Humanity by swinging a hammer on many Saturday mornings.

Married to Patricia, he has 3 sons, Christopher, Travis and Byron, two stepdaughters, Allison and Whitney, and two grandchildren, Anya and Laurel.
