Biography

Michael G. Kissner Jr. is the partner in charge of the Civil Litigation department at Block & Scarpa, specializing in commercial, probate and trust, construction, real estate, and business litigation. Admitted to practice in all Florida state trial courts, as well as the Middle and Southern Federal District Courts of Florida, Mr. Kissner represents a diverse client base, including local businesses, individuals, governmental entities, and large corporations.

A lifelong resident of Vero Beach and a fourth-generation local, Mr. Kissner earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University, where he also played football. He continued his education at Florida State University College of Law, where he received a book award for outstanding academic performance. After earning his law degree, he returned to Vero Beach to practice with two prominent local litigation firms before joining Block & Scarpa.

Dedicated to his community, Mr. Kissner is actively involved in various local organizations and has held numerous leadership roles. He is a former Chairman of the Indian River Chamber of Commerce Board and currently serves on its executive committee. He has also served as Past-President of the Rotary Club of Vero Beach Oceanside and the Indian River County Bar Association. Additionally, he has been a Director for the Indian River County Foundation for the Elderly and served on the Board of Directors for Main Street Vero Beach. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Vero Beach and the Princeton Club of Vero Beach.
